Created a distinctive brand identity for Throughike, a premium backpack company based in Southern Illinois’ Shawnee National Forest. The goal was to develop a rugged, memorable logo and visual identity that could stand up against established outdoor equipment brands while capturing the company’s local roots and commitment to quality.
Designing a brand that felt both premium and approachable while standing out in the crowded outdoor equipment market dominated by well-established players.
The final logo centers around a bold “TH” monogram that inadvertently resembles an Easter Island moai statue, giving it an unexpected yet powerful connection to exploration and global adventure. This distinctive mark serves as the cornerstone of the brand’s identity, designed to work effectively across future applications as the company launches. The subtle nod to ancient monuments gives the brand a sense of discovery and travel, perfect for a company dedicated to equipping adventurers for journeys near and far. The mark stands strong on its own while being versatile enough to grow with the brand as it enters the market.
