Logo Design

Company Logo Design for Operating Businesses

An operating business gets a new logo under different conditions from a startup. Customers already know your name, crews already wear your shirts, and you may have trucks, signs and a website in use. A new mark has to earn its place against those real costs, so we start by asking where your current logo shows up and what it costs to replace in each of those places.

Company Logo Design for Operating Businesses

01

What you are commissioning

For a service company, most of the decision happens in a driveway or a parking lot. Liberty Home Services, a handyman and home repair business, needed a mark people would trust before they ever called. We designed the logo to carry from a uniform shirt and a business card to the company website, so a homeowner sees the same business on the truck, at the door and online. Operating businesses also have more people with an opinion: an owner, a partner, an office manager, sometimes a longtime customer.

If your company already has a positioning it believes in and only the logo is falling short, a company logo project is the right size. If your services, audience or name have changed, the logo will not fix that alone, and a rebranding is the better fit. If you run several divisions or locations that each need their own version, look at logo system design.

FAQ

Before we get started.

How many logo concepts will we see?

Typically three to four genuinely different directions.

What if we're not ready to fully rebrand, just update our logo?

That's a common, smaller-scope project. We can refine or modernize an existing mark on its own.
